The Richardson Gobble Hobble 2010 benefits the Neighborhood Youth and Family Counseling of Richardson (NYFC) who serve as the victims' assistance organization for the Richardson Police and Fire Departments. The NYFC, a 501(c)3 Corporation, has been providing counseling, victims’ assistance and youth intervention programs to the Richardson community for more than 30 years. The Richardson Gobble Hobble 2010, a 5K & Family Fun Run/Walk organized by Central Health and Wellness, will be held November 20, 2010 at Galatyn Park in Richardson, Texas. We invite you to come run, walk, or watch the pre-Thanksgiving festivities as people of all ages come Gobble Hobble in Richardson!
All proceeds from this event will benefit the NYFC.
Packet Pick-up
Nov 16-18, 2010 (Tuesday - Thursday): 10am to 7pm at the following RunOn! stores: RunOn! Richardson, RunOn! Dallas, and RunOn! McKinney. (Select the store of your choice on the registration form).
Or, you may also register and pick up your packet at Galatyn Plaza at 7am on the event morning (Saturday, November 20, 2010). However, to ensure a smooth operation race day, we encourage everyone to get their packet before race day.
T-Shirts
The first 800 registrants will receive a high-quality Gobble Hobble race event t-shirt.
Chip Timing
Racing Systems, Inc. times the 5K run, using disposable Chronotrack D-Tags.
To be included in the results and eligible for an award, you must wear your D-Tag properly on your shoe. Your D-Tag will be attached to your bib when you pick it up with your packet. Remove it and follow the instructions printed on the tag itself. It's important that you only bend the D-Tag in the proper place. Bending it across the chip will disable it, and it won't be read when you start or finish. Here are additional instructions with pictures.

The Course
The Gobble Hobble 5K will start and finish at Galatyn Park, Richardson’s 500-acre mixed-use, rail-transit-oriented development near the intersection of President George Bush Expressway (SH 190) and Central Expressway in Richardson. The course continues into Galatyn Woodland Preserve, passing by the DART light rail & through the heart of the Telecom Corridor.
The course will be relatively flat with some occasional hills.
Route Map
Kids Zone
All children participating in the race will receive free admission to the kids zone, featuring a climbing wall and an inflatable obstacle course. Also, our giant sized Turkey mascot will be available to greet and have pictures with all youth participants.
Parking
Onsite parking will be available. We encourage you to utilize DART; hop on and take it to the Galatyn Park Station! |
