The Richardson Gobble Hobble 2007 benefits the Neighborhood Youth and Family Counseling of Richardson (NYFC) who serve as the victims' assistance organization for the Richardson Police and Fire Departments. The mission of the NYFC is to provide quality, affordable and professional counseling, victim's advocacy and intervention services to the Richardson community.
The Richardson Gobble Hobble 2007, a 5K fun run and one-mile walk organized by Central Health and Wellness, was held November 17, 2007 at Galatyn Park in Richardson, Texas. We invite you to come run, walk, or watch during the 2008 Gobble Hobble in Richardson (stay tuned for 2008 race info). The pre-Thanksgiving festivities are for people of all ages!
All proceeds from this event benefit the NYFC.
T-Shirts
The first 450 registrants will receive a high-quality Gobble Hobble race event t-shirt.
Awards
Prizes will be given to the top three male and female Gobble Hobble 5K finishers.
The Course
The Gobble Hobble will start and finish at Galatyn Park, Richardson’s 500-acre mixed-use, rail transitoriented development located near the intersection of the President George Bush Turnpike (SH 190) and Central Expressway in Richardson. The course will continue into the Galatyn Woodland Preserve, passing by the DART light rail, and through the heart of the Telecom Corridor. The course will be relatively flat with some occasional hills.
Route Map
Kids Zone
All children participating in the race will receive free admission to the kids zone, featuring a climbing wall and an inflatable obstacle course as well as a fire truck to explore. Also, our giant sized Turkey mascot will be available to greet and have pictures with all youth participants.
Parking
We encourage everyone to park at your nearest DART station and ride DART to the Galatyn Park station. There will be limited parking at the race location. |
