The Richardson Gobble Hobble 2009 benefits the Neighborhood Youth and Family Counseling of Richardson (NYFC) who serve as the victims' assistance organization for the Richardson Police and Fire Departments. The mission of the NYFC is to provide quality, affordable and professional counseling, victim's advocacy and intervention services to the Richardson community.
The Richardson Gobble Hobble 2009, a 5K & Family Fun Run/Walk organized by Central Health and Wellness, will be held November 21, 2009 at Galatyn Park in Richardson, Texas. We invite you to come run, walk, or watch the pre-Thanksgiving festivities as people of all ages come Gobble Hobble in Richardson!
All proceeds from this event will benefit the NYFC.
Chip Timing
The Gobble Hobble 5k Race and Family Fun Run will be timed using Chronotrack D-Tags. To be included in the results and eligible for an award, you must wear your D-Tag properly on your shoe. Your D-Tag will be attached to your bib when you pick it up with your packet. Remove it and follow the instructions printed on the tag itself. It's important that you only bend the D-Tag in the proper place. Bending it across the chip will disable it, and it won't be read when you start or finish. Packet Pick-up
Nov 18-20, 2009 (Wed-Fri): 10am to 7pm at the Richardson, Dallas, and McKinney RunOn! stores.
(Select the store of your choice on the registration form).
Or, you may also register and pick up your packet at Galatyn Plaza at 7am on the event morning (11/21/09). However, to ensure a smooth operation race day, we encourage everyone to get their packet before race day.
T-Shirts
The first 800 registrants will receive a high-quality Gobble Hobble race event t-shirt.

The Course
The Gobble Hobble will start and finish at Galatyn Park, Richardson’s 500-acre mixed-use, rail transitoriented development located near the intersection of the President George Bush Turnpike (SH 190) and Central Expressway in Richardson. The course will continue into the Galatyn Woodland Preserve, passing by the DART light rail, and through the heart of the Telecom Corridor. The course will be relatively flat with some occasional hills.
Route Map
Kids Zone
All children participating in the race will receive free admission to the kids zone, featuring a climbing wall and an inflatable obstacle course as well as a fire truck to explore. Also, our giant sized Turkey mascot will be available to greet and have pictures with all youth participants.
Parking
Onsite parking will be available, plus we encourage you to park at your nearest DART station and ride DART to the Galatyn Park station. |
